About
Why We Value Usable Space
We started Bravilotroves because most small-space advice shows immaculate rooms nobody lives in. We'd rather talk about the coat pile, the half-open door and the table that's always covered.

What we believe
A small home works when daily life flows through it easily. That means clear routes, quick resets and furniture that pulls its weight. It doesn't mean owning a set number of things, choosing a particular aesthetic or treating tidiness as a virtue.
Our readers are mostly renters and people in compact flats and terraced houses. Many can't knock down walls or install built-ins, so we prioritise ideas that are reversible, affordable and portable.
How we write
Every guide explains the trade-offs alongside the benefits. When we cite rules of thumb, such as walkway widths or shelf depths, we present them as starting points, not regulations. When we mention books, designers or retailers, it's because they illustrate a useful idea; we don't accept payment for mentions and we don't use affiliate links.
Who we are
Bravilotroves is published by Bravilotroves Lifestyle Ltd, a small independent publisher based in Bristol. Our editorial team has lived in bedsits, studios and narrow terraces, and tested much of what we write about in our own homes.
